Francesco Ranicchi and Besmira Braho have graduated with a thesis about Rocca of Pierle.
The measurements carried out last summer made possible to produce the material that was presented during the discussion of the thesis.

located in the town of Cortona, Arezzo. Italy.

This site shows the fortress and the little village which gives its name to the valley. Pierle is located in the eastern town of Cortona. This page serves as a collection of resources about Pierle and offers different types of material. In addition to a rich collection of photographs, there are three-dimensional models, graphics, sections, animationa and videos. Much material found on these pages is original and was produced by the staff of the site. www.roccadipierle.it This site was created with the aim of raising awareness of this beautiful Castle hidden in Umbria and Tuscany. It also contains material that provides general information about medival castles and other places near Pierle.

This site was created about two years. The proposed material already provides information about the fortress, but nothing can replace the thrill of a real visit to Pierle. the idea of enriching it slowly, over time, has produced an acceptable result, or otherwise to meet anyone who is intrigued by the medieval castles.

Laser detailed surveys inside castle of Pierle.
Thursday, October 18, 2012. Laser relief operations were completed in Pierle.
The experts of the 'Univertotà of Bologna', have used a new laser machine that made it possible to perform thousands of measurements per minute. Inside the Photo-gallery there are some pictures taken during the operations and some results of the survey. There are also three-dimensional images.....
